EURIS Business Models for Open Innovation
The project aimed to generate actionable insights to help firms transform their Business Model to profit from Open Innovation (BMOI). The BMOI project was part of the EURIS programme, www.euris-programme.eu, which was supported by the INTERREG IVC programme financed by the European Union’s Regional Development Fund (ERDF. The three project partners for the BMOI project were: the Public University of Navarra (UPNa), the University of Stuttgart (USTUTT), and Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) as lead partner.
The project applied case-studies and a regional comparison to generate good practices, generic principles, training content and policy recommendations. Next to the report with integrated project results, we created a report describing and explaining differences in openness across sectors and regions and the effect of regional openness on innovative performance, based on data from the Community Innovation Survey; a report identifying challenges of open business models and how to overcome them; and a workshop methodology on open business models.
